Kojo Amponsah, Emmanuel Appiah, and Tanko Bashiru were remanded into custody for their alleged involvement in a vehicle theft syndicate operating in Tarkwa. The vehicle belonged to AECI Explosives Company Limited. The accused persons were arrested on February 22, 2026, in connection with a similar offence in Kumasi and allegedly admitted to the Tarkwa vehicle theft. Proceeds from the sale of the vehicle were allegedly shared among the accused, with A1 and A2 receiving GH¢3,000 each, while A3 received GH¢12,000.
The case has been adjourned to April 9, 2026, for further proceedings.
