Our Commitment to Publishers

GhanaFront respects the rights of news publishers and content creators. We aggregate news under fair dealing provisions of Ghana's Copyright Act 690 (2005), always attributing sources and linking to original articles.

If you are a publisher or content owner and wish to have your content excluded from GhanaFront, we will honor your request promptly and without question.

How GhanaFront Works

To help you make an informed decision, here is what we do with publisher content:

  • RSS Feed Aggregation - We fetch article metadata (title, author, publication date, thumbnail) from your public RSS feeds
  • Summary Generation - We generate transformative summaries of your articles - these are original commentary, not reproductions
  • Full Attribution - Every article displays your publication name, author, and a prominent link to the original article
  • Traffic Referral - We always encourage readers to "Read the full story" at your site - driving traffic back to you

We never reproduce full articles. Our goal is to complement publishers, not compete with them.

Opt-Out Process

To request removal of your content from GhanaFront:

  1. 1
    Send an email

    Email legal@ghanafront.com with subject line "Publisher Opt-Out Request"

  2. 2
    Include these details
    • Publisher / publication name
    • Website URL
    • Your name and role (must be authorized to make this request)
    • Contact email for verification
  3. 3
    We acknowledge within 24 hours

    You will receive confirmation that we have received your request.

  4. 4
    Content removed within 48 hours

    After verifying your identity and authority, all your content will be removed from GhanaFront.

  5. 5
    Permanent exclusion

    Your domain will be added to our permanent exclusion list. We will not re-aggregate your content.

What Gets Removed

When you opt out, we remove:

  • All articles sourced from your publication
  • All summaries of your articles
  • All cached images from your site
  • Your publication from our active source list

robots.txt Support

We respect robots.txt directives. If you prefer a technical approach, you can block our crawler by adding this to your robots.txt file:

Disallow: /
