Moses was part of the group that traveled with Nkrumah to Hanoi in 1966 when soldiers took over the government in Ghana. While in exile, Nkrumah sent Moses on intelligence-gathering errands along the West Coast of Africa. His movements were discovered by Ghanaian intelligence agencies, and he was tracked down due to close ties between Ghana's government and neighboring Dahomey (now Benin) and Nigeria. The operation involved three different services.
