Apeguso-Mpakadan road project has 60 workers, not one - Contractor
Build Managers Limited, the contractor, has rejected claims that only one person is handling the Apeguso to Mpakadan road project. The company insists that dozens of workers are actively engaged on site. Project Manager Jonathan Wutsikah described the claims as misleading and unfounded, stating, "If someone should make a claim that one person should be able to do the caliber of work we are doing here, that should tell you that maybe the person lacks information and does not really appreciate the work that is going on here. One person could not have done this."
The project involves about 60 skilled and unskilled workers, supported by a team of engineers and technical staff. The road links Apeguso, Mpakadan, Akwamufie, and other lakeside communities. Drainage construction is nearly finished at 98%, culvert construction is at 60%, and the road network's sub-base layer is about 15% complete.
One resident, Adjo, said, "I have not seen anything like this since I was born. This is the first time I have seen a road being constructed in this community," and offered prayers for those behind the project.
