One killed as speeding vehicle crashes into shop at Ketan
One person was reportedly killed after a speeding vehicle crashed into a shop at Ketan in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis of the Western Region on March 18, 2026. I rushed to the scene and realised that a pickup vehicle had crashed into a dressmaking shop. Two apprentices at the shop were severely affected and were rushed to the Essikadu Government Hospital, where Mercy Oparebea was pronounced dead."
Mingle Kasum also stated, "The other victim is currently receiving treatment at the Effia Nkwanta Hospital and is now in stable condition. The body of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary. Eyewitnesses at the scene alleged that the driver was drunk, which may have caused the crash. The area is a community where drivers are not expected to drive at such high speeds to cause this kind of accident."
