My father left a valid will - Adwoa Safo
Sarah Adwoa Safo, former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, stated on Friday, July 3, that her late father, Apostle Kwadwo Safo, left a valid will governing the administration of his estate. She insisted that the ongoing dispute surrounding the Kristo Asafo Mission is not about inheritance. Ms Safo said, "It is also important to state clearly that my dad did not die intestate. He left a valid Will, which I believe sets out definitive provisions for the administration of his estate, including his properties and inheritance, all of which will be properly addressed and given effect upon the formal reading and execution of same."
According to Ms Safo, public commentary has wrongly created the impression that the disagreement centers on access to her father's wealth or control of church property. She maintained that the real issue is the implementation of final directives issued by the late founder. Ms Safo released her statement following what she described as an assassination attempt on her life on June 21. She argued that the existence of the will should dispel claims of an inheritance dispute within the family, adding that she has never sought personal gain from her father's estate.
