Jomoro youth applaud Mahama, Iddrisu, Affo-Toffey for new college initiative
John Dramani Mahama, Haruna Iddrisu, and Dorcas Affo-Toffey facilitated the establishment of the first-ever College of Education in the Jomoro Municipality. The youth of Jomoro expressed appreciation for their roles.
The youth described the development as a major milestone that brings hope to residents. They said young people have long faced challenges accessing tertiary education due to distance. Youth leaders including Cosmos Ennu Kwaw, Nyameke Kodwo Ezekiel Bomah, Emmanuel Kwasie Amihere, Dickson Boadi, and Francis Nyame Morkeh jointly signed a press release. The release said the initiative reflects government's commitment to equitable development. The youth acknowledged the contributions of Awulae Kwasi Armakyi III, Lt Gen. Peter Augustine Blay (Rtd), and Benedict Boadi.
In late 2016, Lt Gen. Blay (Rtd) released the Ariza educational facility to government for conversion into a college of education. The youth stated that the establishment of the college will improve access to education, stimulate economic growth, and accelerate development in the municipality. They expressed gratitude to President Mahama for his responsive leadership.
