Government assures flood victims in six regions of imminent relief support
The Government assured residents affected by recent floods in six regions outside Greater Accra that emergency relief supplies will begin reaching their communities in the coming days. Mr. Kwakye Ofosu disclosed that the next phase of the response will cover the Central, Volta, Western, Ashanti, Western North, and Eastern Regions. He explained that the Government initially prioritised communities in Greater Accra due to widespread displacement, but relief operations are now expanding nationwide. Logistics teams are being deployed to transport "massive relief packages" to affected districts, and NADMO regional coordinators are already on the ground to facilitate distribution. He added that "Additional supplies will arrive in your communities starting tomorrow." Mr. Kwakye Ofosu urged residents to remain vigilant, adhere to safety directives, and promptly report emergencies. He reaffirmed the Mahama administration's commitment to supporting all affected communities until recovery efforts are completed.
