Tilly Akua Nipaa elected UniMAC GRASAG General Secretary
Tilly Akua Nipaa has been elected General Secretary of the Graduate Students' Association of Ghana (GRASAG) at the University of Media, Arts and Communication. Initially, she ran as Vice President alongside Kofi O.D. Asante, but a tie with a rival contestant led to a decision to restructure the ticket. The rival candidate was made Vice President to Kofi, while Tilly assumed the role of General Secretary.
According to Tilly, the shift "from KODA as President and myself as Vice President, to KODA as President and myself as General Secretary was intentional and strategic." She stated that this decision was "rooted in our commitment to ensuring that the challenges we encountered are never repeated for future GRASAG aspirants." She added, "From the moment I joined TEAM KODA, my goal has been clear: to see KODA lead and to serve effectively within his administration. Today, I am proud to fulfil that purpose as General Secretary."
Tilly Akua Nipaa stated that on March 1st, KODA reached out to her to be his running mate in the recent GRASAG elections. She said that in just 24 days, she pushed herself to learn and adapt.
