ECG announces four-day power outage schedule for parts of Accra East
Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) announced a four-day planned maintenance exercise resulting in temporary power outages in several communities within the Accra East Region. The maintenance works are scheduled from Monday, August 10 to Thursday, August 13, with interruptions expected between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm each day. According to a press statement issued on Saturday, August 8, ECG said the exercise forms part of planned maintenance works aimed at improving electricity service delivery in the affected areas.
On Monday, August 10, areas including Teiman, Oyarifa, Mr Smith, parts of Ogbodjo, Tsmasiwaa Hospital, Ability, and surrounding areas will be affected. Tuesday, August 11, will see outages in Ashiyie, parts of Dodowa, Tobinco, Oasis Estate, Manet Junction, and surrounding areas. Wednesday, August 12, will affect parts of Labone, Agbogba Zongo, Adenta SDA, Tot-to-teen School, Top Herbal Clinic, parts of Madina, Libya Quarters, and surrounding areas. On Thursday, August 13, Achimota School and surrounding areas will experience outages. ECG stated that customers in the listed areas should expect temporary interruptions in electricity supply.
