Sachet water prices to increase from April 6
The National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP) has announced an increase in the prices of sachet water, effective Monday, April 6, 2026. The association regrets to announce an upward revision of ex-factory and ex-truck prices for sachet water.
The association attributed the hike to a global shortage of polymers and rising production costs, partly driven by the ongoing conflict in Iran. The new recommended prices are: GH¢8 per bag at the ex-factory level, GH¢10 ex-truck, and a maximum retail price of GH¢15 for a 500ml sachet water bag. The full statement from NASPAWAP reads that these are recommended price reviews by the national body.
NASPAWAP urged retailers and consumers to comply with the revised prices to maintain fairness in the market, while appealing for understanding amid the challenges facing producers. NASPAWAP appreciates the understanding and cooperation of retailers and consumers during this challenging period.
