Zabrama Chief donates relief items to Kpando Local Prison inmates
Alhaji Abdul Rafiu Salifu, Chief of the Zabrama Community in Kpando, donated relief items worth thousands of Ghana cedis to over 160 inmates of the Kpando Local Prison. The donation was part of his humanitarian and philanthropic initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of persons in custody.
The items included 12 bundles of roofing sheets, two bags of sugar, 100 sachets of purified drinking water, 10 boxes of soap, 10 packs of toilet rolls, five packs of antiseptics, and 35 "booters" for Muslim inmates. Alhaji Abdul Rafiu Salifu said the gesture was intended to "improve living conditions in the prison and show love and compassion to inmates serving their sentences." He noted that supporting inmates forms part of his long-standing commitment to giving back to society and assisting people in need. He urged individuals, corporate organizations, religious bodies, and philanthropists to extend support to correctional facilities across the country.
