World Vision, Hilton Foundation commission water system for 7,000 residents to end water crisis
World Vision, with funding support from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, officially commissioned a modern small water system for the Dominase community on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. The facility has a 100,000-liter storage capacity and will be managed by PEC Consult.
Robel Wamisho, Associate Director of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) at World Vision Ghana, stated that a total of 26 water systems, including the Dominase facility, have been completed across the Asunafo North Municipality. Mr. Wamisho emphasized that this specific project brings a safe, reliable, and sustainable water supply to potentially more than 7,000 residents. Residents Charles Alande and Sophia Boakye Nyamekye previously described relying on polluted streams and an aging borehole that frequently broke down, leaving the area without water for over a week.
