Two remanded over alleged assault of 18-year-old Pragia rider at Diaso
Perpetual and Emmanuel Frimpong were remanded into lawful custody on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the Diaso Magistrate Court in connection with the alleged assault of an 18-year-old Pragia rider at Diaso in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region. The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges. Prosecutor Bernard Azagisanaba prayed the court to remand the accused persons to allow the police to continue investigations into the case and informed the court that the prime suspect, Enoch alias "Awoɔyɛ," is being pursued by the police.

Police investigations led to the recovery of quantities of tramadol, a pump-action gun, and nine live AA cartridges from Emmanuel Frimpong's room, which have been retained as exhibits. His Worship Devlin Isando denied bail to both accused persons. The case has been adjourned to July 30, 2026, for further hearing, and the prime suspect, Enoch alias "Awoɔyɛ," remains on the run.
