Tragedy at Effutu A.M.E Zion Girls: Final-year student killed in campus bee attack
Emmanuella Quainoo died following a bee attack on Tuesday, March 17 on the Effutu A.M.E Zion Girls Senior High School campus. She was a final-year student. She was rushed to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital but was pronounced dead in the early hours of the following morning.

Personnel from the Apam Fire Service arrived after the student’s condition had critically worsened. Vida Ayi Mensah, her grandmother, shared that Emmanuella was back in school specifically to improve her prospects.
Madam Mensah disclosed, “Emmanuella had been enrolled to rewrite her WASSCE after previously failing her science paper last year.” The family awaits further answers regarding the circumstances that led to the fatal encounter and the subsequent failure of local rescue infrastructure.
