TikToker "Bawumia Ba" arrested again over alleged offensive conduct
Mahama Aminat, also known as "Bawumia Ba," was re-arrested by the Ghana Police Service over an alleged case of offensive conduct. Mahama Aminat was previously arrested in May 2026 by the Inspector-General of Police's Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team (CVET) after being seen in videos making insulting comments about President John Mahama and allegedly issuing threats against his life and that of his wife, Lordina Mahama, while also encouraging others to engage in violent acts. She was subsequently granted bail in the sum of GH¢1 million with two sureties, one of whom must be a civil servant earning not less than GH¢5,000. She was also required to deposit her passport or Ghana Card with the police.
