Three arrested over suspected arson that killed herbalist Dr Felix Antwi Dankwa
Dr. Felix Antwi Dankwa died after a fire gutted his residence, which also served as a clinic, on the night of Monday, August 10, 2026, at Kasoa in the Central Region. Three people, including his wife, have been arrested in connection with the suspected arson incident. The 67-year-old herbalist was the Chief Executive Officer of Antwi Herbal.
Three other occupants, including his wife, escaped the blaze without injuries. Sources close to the deceased say Dr. Antwi Dankwa had been involved in a marital dispute with his wife, who lived abroad. The couple had reported to the Kasoa District Police Command earlier on Monday following allegations that the wife had changed the ownership details of some of the herbalist's assets. An altercation reportedly occurred between the couple at the police station, after which the police cautioned them and directed them to appear before a court on Tuesday, August 11. Police officers arrested Dr. Antwi Dankwa's wife and two workers who also lived at the residence to assist with investigations. Dr. Antwi Dankwa was recently recognised by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) for his contribution and partnership in promoting herbal medicine. Police investigations are ongoing.
