Roger De Sa reveals Black Stars contract expires at end of July
Roger De Sa, assistant coach for the Black Stars, revealed that his contract with the Ghana national team was limited to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which concluded in North America. He stated, "I was only contracted until the end of July, so that's it," and added, "My contract was just for the World Cup, and it ends on the 31st of July."
De Sa joined Ghana's technical team following the appointment of head coach Carlos Queiroz. Ghana's World Cup campaign included a 1-0 victory over Panama, a goalless draw against England, and a 2-1 defeat to Croatia, finishing third in Group L. They advanced to the knockout phase but were eliminated in the Round of 32 after a 1-0 loss to Colombia. Ghana will now prepare for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, drawn in Group C with Côte d'Ivoire, Somalia, and The Gambia, with matches scheduled to begin in September.
