Popular radio presenter killed in motor accident at Berekum
Justice Danquah, also known as Nana Kofi or 99K, died following a motor accident at Jamdede, near Mr Apraku's Junction in Berekum, in the early hours of Saturday, July 25, 2026. Nana Kofi, who was riding a motorcycle, was reportedly hit by another motorcyclist traveling at high speed. He was riding in the right lane when the speeding rider crashed into him, causing severe injuries. He was rushed to the Holy Family Hospital in Berekum, where he received medical attention for injuries to his head and leg, but was pronounced dead shortly after.
The other motorcyclist involved in the crash is receiving treatment for minor injuries, while two passengers riding with him are in critical condition. Nana Kofi was a journalist with Adikanfo FM in Jinijini and a former staff member of Kiss FM and Chriss FM. Until his demise, he was the General Manager and Morning Show Host of Adikanfo FM 99.1- Berekum West District Capital - Jinijini. His death has triggered mourning among colleagues, friends, and residents.
