Police arrest two suspects over murder of 54-year-old man, shooting of wife at Tuba
Mohammed Rahman, 54, was murdered, and his wife, Christiana Fosu, 53, was shot at Tuba near Weija in the Greater Accra Region on Thursday, August 6, 2026. The Accra Regional Police Command arrested two suspects, Adams Adder Almeida and his brother, Bala Bilyon, in connection with the incident. Mohammed Rahman was pronounced dead on arrival at Finney Hospital in Weija, while Christiana Fosu was referred to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and is currently on admission, responding to treatment.
During interrogation, suspect Adams Adder Almeida allegedly admitted to shooting the deceased and his wife, stating he was motivated by his perception that the deceased had repeatedly described him as "lazy and useless," which he claimed had affected him mentally. Almeida led investigators to his brother's room at Beach Drive Estate, where a pistol believed to have been used in the shooting was retrieved from beneath the wall drop of Bala Bilyon. Police investigations established that Adams Adder Almeida and Bala Bilyon reside together in the same room at Tuba. The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Police Hospital Mortuary pending autopsy.
