Oti High Court adjourns NPP Krachi East Organiser election dispute to October

The Oti High Court adjourned the NPP Krachi East Organiser election dispute to October 9, 2026, in Dambai. The court directed the defendants, Mr Jacob Addo, the Electoral Commission (EC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to file their affidavits in opposition to the claims contained in the plaintiff's application. The court stated that the respondents must formally respond to the allegations before the substantive issues in the case could be determined.

The development sparked protests by some party supporters, leading to the temporary closure of the NPP constituency office. The presiding judge, Justice Dr Moses Bedima Duut, adjourned the matter to October 9 for further proceedings.
