One year on: Sneak peek inside Daddy Lumba's final resting place [Video]
Daddy Lumba's family opened his final resting place to public viewing for the first time one year after his passing. The private mausoleum is located within his East Legon residence in Accra and was unveiled during a remembrance ceremony marking the first anniversary of his death. The opening of the mausoleum confirms reports that the musician was buried inside his East Legon home.
The black tomb, decorated with photographs of Daddy Lumba, wreaths, and personal tributes, sits within the compound of the house. It is surrounded by some of his awards, plaques, and works from his music career. Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, died on July 26, 2025, at The Bank Hospital in Accra at age 60 after a brief illness. He enjoyed a career spanning nearly four decades, releasing more than 30 albums.
