One Year on: Omane Boamah's family thanks God for strength after helicopter crash
Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah's family expressed gratitude to God on Thursday, August 6, for providing them with strength, comfort, and hope in the year following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed his life and seven others. Family representative Charles Ohene Oti stated, "While the past year has been marked by deep grief and loss, God has sustained us with strength, comfort and hope."
The family's reflections were delivered at a national inter-faith memorial service held in honour of the eight victims. Mr. Ohene Oti also expressed appreciation to religious leaders for their prayers, guidance, and encouragement since the tragedy. The memorial service marked one year since the Ghana Armed Forces Z-9 helicopter crashed in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region while travelling from Accra to the Ashanti Region.
