Old Tafo, Manso Nkwanta NPP elections: Ashanti Committee insists on use of new album
The Ashanti Regional Steering Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) rejected attempts to use the old album for constituency executive elections in the Tafo and Manso Nkwanta constituencies on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. The Committee insisted that "The new album is the only approved album for the election of constituency executives."
The Committee stated that polling station elections had been duly conducted, resulting in a new and validated album containing eligible delegates. It maintained that operating strictly within the NPP Constitution requires the new album for the upcoming elections. The Committee warned that "any attempt to resort to the use of the old albums would be unconstitutional" and could have serious consequences for the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
