NPP's Kwadwo Boateng-Agyemang readies for Eastern Regional chairmanship contest
Kwadwo Boateng-Agyemang is set to officially submit his nomination forms on Friday, July 17, as he makes another attempt to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as Eastern Regional Chairman. He is contesting under the theme: "Bringing the People Together & Keeping the Hope Alive to Rejuvenate NPP Superiority in the Eastern Region."
This will be Mr. Boateng-Agyemang's second attempt at the Eastern Regional Chairmanship position, having previously contested the May 2022 regional elections where he lost to incumbent Jeff Konadu Addo. In that election, Mr. Konadu Addo secured 424 votes, while Mr. Boateng-Agyemang polled 202 votes. He served as the Eastern Regional Campaign Coordinator for former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's 2024 presidential campaign and previously served as the New Juaben North Constituency Chairman for three terms. He also served as the Chairman of Chairmen for the NPP in the Eastern Region for about 12 years.
