NPP internal elections: Nana B declares bid for National First Vice Chairman position
Henry Nana Boakye, also known as Nana B, officially announced his intention to contest for the position of National First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He stated his decision was motivated by a desire to help rebuild the party and contribute to its efforts to return to power in the 2028 general elections. Nana B said, "By the grace of God, and after twenty-six years of active service to our party, I believe the experience and lessons I have gained have prepared me to help strengthen our party structures, reconnect with our grassroots and contribute meaningfully to our collective mission of returning the New Patriotic Party to government in 2028."
Nana B highlighted his 26 years of active service to the NPP, stating it equipped him with the experience and leadership required to strengthen party structures and reconnect with its grassroots. He served as a polling station executive in the Manhyia, Tarkwa-Nsuaem, and Oforikrom constituencies, a member of the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency Campaign Team, and Communications Officer for the Oforikrom Constituency. At the regional and youth levels, he served as TESCON President at the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), a member of the Ashanti Regional Communications Team and Campaign Team, Director of Events and Programmes for the National Youth Wing, National Youth Organiser, and Vice Chairman of the International Young Democrat Union (IYDU).
