NPP convenes emergency meeting to review Samreboi judgement after Wontumi's 20 years sentence
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership has commenced a review of the court's judgement in the case involving the party's Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, as the party considers its next steps. Justin Frimpong Kodua, the NPP's General Secretary, announced this development on his official Facebook page, stating, "The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), together with our flagbearer and the party's legal team, is currently in a meeting to thoroughly review the judgement delivered by the Court in the case involving our Ashanti Regional Chairman, Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, concerning the Samreboi mining matter, and to determine the appropriate next course of action."

Mr Kodua explained that an official statement would be issued after the conclusion of deliberations and decisions had been reached.
