Newly elected Asante Akyem South NPP executives call for unity ahead of 2028 election
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Asante Akyem South Constituency elected a new team of constituency executives, with a call for unity and teamwork as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections. Kyei Noah was re-elected as Constituency Chairman for a second term after securing 707 votes. William Obeng won the Secretary position with 919 votes, while Afoakwah Albert was elected Assistant Secretary with 807 votes. Samuel Agyekum Darkwa secured the First Vice Chairman position with 825 votes, and Stephen Oddoe won the Second Vice Chairman slot with 784 votes. Beatrice Kyei emerged as Women's Organiser with 857 votes, while Albert Bour was elected Organiser with 746 votes. Benjamin Frimpong won the Youth Organiser position with 862 votes, Jelilu Halidu secured the Treasurer position with 762 votes, and Victoria Larbi was also elected Treasurer with 777 votes. The Communication Officer position was won with 890 votes.
Speaking to Adom News after the swearing-in ceremony, re-elected Chairman Kyei Noah urged party supporters to put aside their differences and work together. He stressed the need for unity, discipline, and teamwork to help return the NPP to power in the 2028 general elections. Re-elected Constituency Secretary William Obeng announced that the new executive would immediately begin a reconciliation process to bring together unsuccessful polling station and constituency executive aspirants. The elections were held peacefully, with party members expressing optimism that the new leadership would strengthen the NPP's grassroots structures in the constituency.
