Nana B pledges to complete 30-bed children's ward project at Tafo Government Hospital
Henry Nana Boakye, also known as Nana B, announced plans to complete and hand over a 30-bed children's ward project at the Tafo Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region. The facility is currently about 85% complete and is expected to improve healthcare delivery and ease pressure on the hospital's existing children's ward. Nana B stated the project is the fulfillment of a personal commitment he made five years ago ahead of his 40th birthday, as part of a pledge to God to support the construction of a modern children's healthcare facility.
He explained that the Tafo Government Hospital was selected due to the poor condition of its existing children's ward and the urgent need to improve healthcare infrastructure for children in the region. Nana B said, "That commitment found its purpose at the Tafo Government Hospital because of the deplorable condition of its existing Children's Ward, which had become a major concern for the Ghana Health Service and the people of the region." He expressed satisfaction with the project's progress, describing its near completion as one of the most fulfilling experiences of his life. As part of activities marking his 45th birthday, Nana B has committed to completing and commissioning the facility by the end of the year.
