NACOC boss leads staff for final day of nationwide clean-up exercise
Major General Maxwell Obuba Mantey, Director-General of NACOC, led management and staff in the National General Clean-Up Exercise on Friday, July 10. The exercise took place around the NACOC Headquarters and its annex buildings in Accra, as well as simultaneously at all NACOC regional commands and border posts. Participants used shovels, brooms, wheelbarrows, and Wellington boots to clear choked gutters, desilt drains, and sweep streets.
NACOC management stressed that promoting public safety goes beyond combating drug trafficking and related offences, noting that maintaining a clean and healthy environment is equally important to the well-being of citizens. The Commission also commended officers nationwide for their dedication. Lawyer Alexander Twum-Barimah, Deputy Director-General for Enforcement, Control and Elimination, and Stephen Yeboah, Deputy Director-General for General Services, also participated.
