Man who threatened security personnel in viral video arrested
Opoku Emmanuel was arrested on May 7, 2026, at Jacobu in the Amansie Central District. The arrest was part of a joint operation by the Inspector-General of Police's Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team (CVET) and the Jacobu Police.

Police say Opoku Emmanuel is currently in custody assisting with investigations and will soon be put before court. The current case is being handled under the Cybersecurity Act, 2020, the Criminal Offences Act, 1960, and the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008, which provide for criminal prosecution and fines for related offences. The police are yet to announce a date for Opoku Emmanuel's court appearance.
