Kofi Adams proposes overhaul of national teams management structure

Kofi Adams, the Sports and Recreation Minister, has criticized Ghana's existing system of assigning separate Management Committees to each national team, describing the arrangement as inefficient and a setback to the country's long-term sports development. Speaking in an interview with Sporty FM, the Buem Member of Parliament stated, "Having separate Management Teams for the various national teams becomes a burden on us and creates so many challenges based on what I have seen and what I came to meet, and I believe that is not the best way to manage our sport."

Adams believes the current structure has placed unnecessary pressure on the government and created avoidable challenges in managing the country's sporting activities. He plans to push for a major restructuring of the current framework, including the establishment of a single Management Committee to oversee all of Ghana's national teams. Adams acknowledged the need to recognize and reward individuals who contribute to the growth of Ghanaian sports but insisted that such recognition should not come at the expense of efficiency and sustainability.
