Ipswich Town sign Abdul Fatawu from Leicester City
Ipswich Town has announced the signing of winger Abdul Fatawu from Leicester City. Abdul, 22, joins Town for an undisclosed fee and has signed a five-year contract, through to the summer of 2031. He will join his new teammates at the Blues' Spanish training camp in La Manga this week. Abdul stated, "I am proud to have signed for Ipswich Town."
The attacker featured in all four of Ghana's games at this summer's FIFA World Cup, including against England, and has won a total of 32 caps for his country, scoring three goals. He played in the Champions League with Sporting in Portugal and was promoted to and featured in the Premier League with Leicester, before scoring nine goals in 44 appearances for the Foxes during 2025/26. Town Manager Gary O'Neil said, "Abdul is a young player who has already gained good experience in the game and we're excited to have him with us."
