Ho Central MP joins 66 Artillery Regiment in nationwide clean-up exercise
Edem Kofi Kpotosu, the Member of Parliament for the Ho Central Constituency, joined personnel of the 66 Artillery Regiment of the Ghana Armed Forces in Ho to participate in a nationwide clean-up exercise. This exercise is part of the government's renewed campaign to improve sanitation across the country, following a directive by President John Dramani Mahama for a two-day national clean-up initiative. Mr. Kpotosu worked alongside military personnel, residents, and other stakeholders to desilt drains, clear refuse dumps, and clean public spaces within the Ho Municipality.
The exercise aimed to promote environmental sanitation, prevent flooding, reduce the risk of flooding, improve public health, and encourage residents to maintain clean surroundings. Mr. Kpotosu commended the 66 Artillery Regiment for demonstrating leadership and community service beyond their core security responsibilities, stressing that environmental cleanliness is a shared responsibility. Officers of the 66 Artillery Regiment encouraged residents to embrace regular communal labor and support efforts to improve sanitation.
