Hebron Prayer Camp pastor recounts last interaction with sons minutes before the fatal crash
Elder Frank Donkor, founder and leader of the Hebron Prayer Camp, has recounted his final interactions with his sons prior to the tragic micro-plane crash in Tema Community One. Speaking to his congregation in a video sighted by GhanaWeb on Friday, March 27, 2026, Elder Donkor stated that his eldest son, Captain Frank Donkor, was a pilot instructor who frequently travelled to Ho by helicopter. According to him, on the day of the crash, his sons had travelled to Ho where the eldest had gone to sign a multi-million-dollar contract with some foreign partners to build a pilot and engineering school. Elder Donkor recalled that his son called him to share their location with him, and told him they would arrive in Accra in five minutes, as they were already in Tema. He added that he even spoke with them through a video call.
Elder Donkor stated that his son told him they would "speak to me once they land on ground." He said, "I called them back after the 5 minutes but I couldn't reach them." Elder Donkor has since expressed deep appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for the support extended to the family.
The burial of the two victims, Frank Donkor and Elijah Donkor will take place on March 28, 2026, at the Jubilee House.
