Gomoa Easter Carnival: Edem Agbana and Joy Prime fans shower festival with endorsements as masquerades and 'street anthems' ignite Day 3
Edem Agbana, Member of Parliament for Ketu North, joined thousands of indigenes and tourists on Saturday, April 4, to witness the rich cultural showcase at Day 3 of the Gomoa Easter Carnival. Kwame Kyei, a resident of Gomoa, said, "Happy Easter. Good morning. In fact, Multi Media Group, Kudos to you paa for projecting the Gomoa Community. I salute you paa. I am a proud GOMOA!"
The Masquerade Procession marched from Gomoa Obuasi to Gomoa Ekwamkrom. Gomoa chiefs were carried in palanquins through the streets of Ekwamkrom. The day ended with a durbar in honor of Osaberima Kwasi Atta, Paramount Chief of the Oguaa Traditional Area (Cape Coast). The corridor from Gomoa Jukwa to Gomoa Ekwamkrom was transformed into an open-air gallery. The Tennis Tournament finals were underway, and Health Screening stations were open. One Joy Prime fan remarked, "The turnout and the passion of the Gomoa people are infectious. From the food bazaar to the masquerades, this is easily the best Easter I've spent in years."
The night is set to feature a musical finale at the Gomoa Ekwamkrom Community Park. Obrafour, Kwaw Kese, Bisa Kdei, Sista Afia, Tinny, and Keche are scheduled to perform. The Gomoa Easter Carnival is expected to wrap up in the early hours of Monday morning.
