Gomoa chiefs endorse Captain Smart, urge NDC delegates to back his 2028 bid
Godbrain Kwadwo Smart, also known as Captain Smart, was endorsed by traditional leaders in the Gomoa West Constituency of the Central Region, who appealed to delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to elect him as the party's parliamentary candidate for the 2028 general election. The chiefs believe Captain Smart has the vision and commitment needed to drive the development of the constituency and warned that "the party risks losing the parliamentary seat if it fails to present a candidate capable of winning broad public support."
The Odikro of Gomoa Denkyira, Nana Kwandam, described Captain Smart as a development-oriented leader with the capacity to transform the constituency, speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony for an ultra-modern Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) office at Gomoa Denkyira. This proposed DVLA office, initiated by Captain Smart, will be the first in the area. Nana Kwandam urged NDC delegates to rally behind Captain Smart during the party's parliamentary primaries, assuring him of the chiefs' support ahead of the 2028 elections. Captain Smart reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Gomoa West through development-focused leadership if given the opportunity to represent the NDC in the 2028 elections.
