Ghana suffer 2-0 loss against Mexico in World Cup preparatory game
Ghana suffered a 2-0 loss against Mexico on Saturday morning at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc. The match was a World Cup preparatory game. Assistant coach Desmond Ofei took charge of the game because head coach Carlos Queiroz was unavailable.

Salim Adams and Aziz Issah were also substituted into the game. Jerry Afriyie's header was blocked. Salim Adams tested Acevedo with a shot.
Ghana will now shift focus to their next friendly against Wales on June 2 at the Cardiff City Stadium. The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Mexico for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
