Five suspected armed robbers, landguards arrested at Sapeiman
The Accra Regional Police Command arrested five suspected members of a criminal syndicate on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Sapeiman Faase in the Greater Accra Region. The suspects were identified as Torgbui Agah Semaglo, 50; Shadrach Agah Semaglo, 22; William Kweku Sedanu, 21; Cyril Kassenu, 26; and Kingsford Agah Semaglo, 18. A search at their premises recovered a pump-action gun, a Stoeger ST-R9 pistol, a dummy Austria pistol, a jackknife, a face mask, 12 BB cartridges, three rounds of 9mm ammunition, an AK-47 round, a talisman, and two kitchen knives. "All retrieved items have been secured as exhibits for evidential purposes," the Police said.
Preliminary investigations indicate the suspects are part of a criminal network involved in armed robbery and landguard operations in Sapeiman and nearby communities. Investigators believe the items were used by the group to intimidate and terrorize residents. The five suspects remain in police custody and are assisting with investigations.
