Fire destroys abandoned trailer at Ogbojo as two other blazes hit Accra
An abandoned container truck was completely destroyed in a fire at Ogbojo in the Greater Accra Region on Sunday, August 9, as two other separate fires were recorded at the Circle Roundabout and along the Teshie Bush Road. According to a post shared on Facebook by the Ghana National Fire Service, at Ogbojo, the fire engulfed an abandoned trailer, destroying both the vehicle and everything it contained.
Two buses parked near the burning trailer were at risk, but firefighters saved them. The cause of the fire at Ogbojo has not yet been established. At the Circle Roundabout, a separate fire involving refuse was extinguished before it spread, with no damage or casualties recorded. The third incident along the Teshie Bush Road involved a vehicle catching fire, which destroyed the vehicle's bonnet, engine compartment, and bumper. Firefighters from the Trade Fair Fire Station extinguished this blaze, and no casualties were reported. The causes of all three incidents remain under investigation.
