Felix Afena-Gyan joins Turkish side Iğdır FK on permanent deal
Felix Afena-Gyan completed a permanent move to Turkish club Iğdır FK from Italian side Cremonese on Thursday. The 22-year-old signed a two-year contract, ending his three-year spell with the Serie B outfit. This transfer followed an impressive loan spell with Turkish side Amedspor during the 2025/26 season.
At Amedspor, Afena-Gyan scored five goals and provided six assists, helping the club secure promotion to the Turkish Super Lig. His breakthrough performances at AS Roma earned him a reported €7.5 million move to Cremonese in 2022. Despite his resurgence, Afena-Gyan was left out of Ghana's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz opting for other attacking options.
