Medeama SC opened with a 4-1 win over Rospak FC and a 3-1 victory over Bibiani Gold Stars, survived a penalty shootout against FC Samartex 1996, and had a 3-0 extra-time win over Attram De Visser Academy inspired by Kelvin Nkrumah's hat-trick.
