Excitement builds as Assin Central NPP elects new leadership
New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Assin Central constituency is electing a new team of constituency executives today. A total of 831 delegates have been accredited to cast their ballots, comprising 728 Polling Station Executives, 75 Electoral Area Coordinators, and 28 Party Fathers, Patrons, and Old Executives. 30 aspirants are vying for various executive positions, with Emmanuel Danso Akonkoh set to serve as the new Organiser, having gone through the nomination process unopposed.
The race for other positions remains intense. Contestants for the chairmanship position are Attakora Amaniampong, Emmanuel Akuamoah Boateng, and Joseph Aninkorah Kutin. For 1st Vice Chairman, the candidates are Lucas Osei Asiedu, Kwakye-Appiah Odeneho, and Andrews Kwaku Addo. Francis Osei Mensah Buobu, Jude Entsie Aggrey, James Nana Offei, and Felix Kwaku Addo are competing for 2nd Vice Chairman. Frederick Essuman, Ibrahim Inusah Mohammed, and Francis Annin are vying for Secretary, while Simon Sobeng, Gabriel Asamoah, and Eric Mensah are for Deputy Secretary. Jonah Berko and Cosmos Kojo Danso are candidates for Treasurer, and Lydia Agyapong and Mercy Kaw... are for Women's Organizer.
