Eighteen clubs confirmed for 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season
Eighteen clubs have been confirmed for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season. Three newly promoted clubs, Port City, Ashantigold '04, and Debibi United, will make their Premier League debut. Port City was champions of the Division One League Zone Three, Ashantigold '04 won Zone Two, and Debibi United was champions of Zone One. These three clubs will join fifteen returning clubs.
Defending champions Medeama SC secured the league title during the 2025/26 season. Nations FC and Eleven Wonders were relegated to the Division One League, and Hohoe United withdrew from the competition. The new season will kick off over the weekend of September 4-7, 2026, and conclude on the weekend of May 28-31, 2027. The league will maintain its established competition format, with most fixtures scheduled for weekends, and midweek matchdays reserved for outstanding fixtures.
