Effiduase-Asokore MP urges men of God to inspire hope among youth at 'Invasion 2026'
Dr. Ayew Afriyie, the Member of Parliament for Effiduase-Asokore, urged genuine and faithful men of God to empower and inspire the younger generation with hope, purpose, and direction through the Word of God during the Kumasi edition of "Invasion 2026." He made these remarks at the PENSA Auditorium, Ayeduase, in the Oforikrom Municipality, an event organized by Prophet Benjamin Fordjour Ministries. Dr. Afriyie expressed concern over a growing sense of hopelessness among young people, driven by negative narratives about the future, stating, "If we fill our young people with the Word and with hope, they will not give up. They will wake up, prepare themselves and position themselves for a better future."
The lawmaker believes some individuals have deliberately influenced young people with the belief that there is no future for them in Ghana, a situation he believes must be addressed through sound biblical teachings and mentorship. The event, held under the theme "Faith" and anchored on Hebrews 11:1, attracted hundreds of believers from Kumasi and surrounding communities, with young people making up about 80 percent of the congregation. The program featured intense worship, prophetic ministrations, and teachings focused on building faith in God amid current economic and social challenges. Dr. Afriyie, who is also the Ranking Member of Parliament's Select Committee on Health, stated that young people could only thrive when grounded in faith and equipped with the right inspiration to pursue their dreams.
