Education Minister welcomes innovative STEM mini lab project to enhance practical learning
Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister of Education, welcomed the introduction of innovative technology aimed at strengthening Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education during a presentation by 3S Technology in partnership with Coderina EdTech. He described the STEM Education Mini Lab Project as "a practical solution to simplify teaching and improve learning outcomes in schools."
The project, known as the Adwenpa Project, includes more than 40 STEM learning modules aligned with the Ghana Education Service curriculum. These modules are housed in a self-contained Mini Lab designed to support practical STEM education for learners from Primary Four to Junior High School Form Three. Mr. Iddrisu tasked Madam Olivia Serwaa Opare, Director of STEM Education at the Ghana Education Service (GES), and Dr. Diyawu Mumin, CEO of the Centre for Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS), to work with the developers to compare existing STEM learning resources with the proposed Mini Lab Project.
