Dr. Ekua Amoakoh's IVLP selection an architect of change
Dr. Ekua Amoakoh was selected for the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) this year. She is a medical doctor by profession and entered Ghana's political communications space ahead of the 2024 general elections. The IVLP has been a tradition in the United States since the 1940s, hosting emerging leaders from government, media, business, and civil society. Alumni include former Ghanaian President John Agyekum Kufuor, former UK Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Margaret Thatcher, Nobel laureates, and influential journalists and academics. Participants are handpicked and nominated by the U.S. Department of State. The program was designed to deepen international relationships and invest influence that shapes policy, frames public thought, and builds bridges.
