DOSH Insurance honoured for transforming health financing and expanding affordable coverage
DOSH Insurance was honoured with the Innovative Health Financing for Universal Access Award at the recently held 3rd Ghana Development Awards in Accra.
DOSH's innovation is a mobile-first digital platform that allows individuals and families to enrol and begin coverage with premium instalments starting at GH¢1 per day. The service is integrated with MoMo from MTN. The DOSH-365 package provides up to GH¢9,000 in annual medical cover for a premium of GH¢365. DOSH operates a 24-hour call centre. Frank Dagbu, Chief Executive Officer of DOSH Health Insurance, said: "This recognition belongs to every Ghanaian who believes that quality health coverage should not be a privilege reserved for a few." He also said: "At DOSH, we believe innovative financing can fundamentally transform lives across the socioeconomic spectrum."
DOSH has developed a nationwide healthcare network, partnering with accredited public and private medical facilities and certified alternative healthcare providers.
