Church of Pentecost steps up drive to improve sanitation in Goaso
The Church of Pentecost is stepping up efforts to improve sanitation in Goaso. The church has launched an initiative called the "Environmental Care Campaign."
Eric Herbert Acheampong, Head Pastor of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), told Adom News that the campaign seeks to raise awareness about sanitation and encourage regular cleanup activities. Pastor Acheampong noted that many individuals, particularly shopkeepers, appear indifferent to maintaining a clean environment, as seen in their limited participation in the exercise, which was attended by the paramount queen mother of Goaso, Nana Afia Serwaa. Cerphas Boatey, Coordinator of the Environmental Care Campaign, expressed concern about people littering without understanding the health risks involved. He urged Ghanaians, especially residents of Goaso, to adopt good sanitation practices for their own safety and that of others.
The Church of Pentecost will continue its educational efforts and organize more cleanup initiatives to safeguard the environment and the community's well-being.
