Evan Yung, a Chinese businessman, was remanded into police custody for stealing T-Shirts worth GH₵3-million. He allegedly stole 440 bundles of T-shirts from a warehouse at Fadama in the Greater Accra Region on November 11, 2025.
Yung, 36, who resides in Osu, Accra, pleaded not guilty to the charge of stealing. The complainant, whose name was withheld, is also a Chinese resident of Osu. The prosecution, led by Chief Inspector Wisdom Alorwu, said that in May 2025, the complainant went to China to attend to his sick mother and handed over his warehouse to the accused. The warehouse contained 440 bundles of T-shirts valued at GHC3 million. Upon the complainant's return in November 2025, Yung allegedly said he had sold the goods to customers who could not pay.
After weeks of waiting for Yung to redeem the sales, the complainant reported the incident to the Police, and Yung was arrested. According to the prosecution, "Yung admitted the offence" in his caution statement.
